The video footage itself was shot in widescreen, but was supplied to me in 4:3 “Letterbox” format. Rather than convert this to my normal widescreen DVD – which would have ended up with letterbox bars on all 4 sides – resulting in a smaller viewable image, I have kept to the original full frame 4:3 letterbox format. This gives a far more pleasing result.
